Have those old tapes recorded onto DVD.  The discs take up less physical space and they will never wear out if they are properly handled and stored.

RATES - Master Disc                                                              $25.00 - 1st Hour $20.00 - each additional hour Above rates are prorated to the nearest quarter-hour.

Recording is done in the DVD-R format, which is compatible with most DVD players manufactured after the year 2000, as well as many computers.  Check your operating manual if you are not sure.  Maximum recording time per disc is 2 hours.
